Workmanship warranty

Written terms, handed to you with your paperwork rather than described verbally.

Short answer

Every shower we build carries a 1 year workmanship warranty on the work we performed. Materials carry their own manufacturer warranties, which we pass to you in writing at completion — waterproofing systems in particular often carry far longer coverage when installed to specification, which is one more reason we install them to specification.

What the workmanship warranty covers

  • Waterproofing installation across pan, curb, corners and walls
  • Tile setting, including bond, lippage and layout as installed
  • Substrate preparation and any framing corrections within our scope
  • Plumbing connections and fixture setting we performed
  • Silicone and sealant joints at completion

What it does not cover

  • Routine maintenance items — silicone joints are a wear surface and are expected to be renewed over time
  • Damage from impact, misuse, or cleaning products that attack grout, silicone or finishes
  • Work performed by others before, during or after our scope
  • Pre-existing conditions we identified in writing and were not contracted to correct
  • Material defects, which are handled under the manufacturer's warranty we hand to you

Warranty questions

What does the workmanship warranty cover?
The work we performed — waterproofing, tile setting, substrate preparation and the plumbing connections within our scope. If something we installed fails because of how it was installed, we come back and correct it.
What is not covered?
Normal wear on grout and silicone, damage from misuse or impact, work performed by others, pre-existing conditions outside our scope, and manufacturer defects in materials — those are covered by the manufacturer's own warranty, which we hand over with your paperwork.
How do I make a warranty claim?
Call or email with a description and a photo. We schedule a look at the shower, and if the issue falls inside the workmanship warranty we correct it at no cost to you.
