What areas of Idaho do you serve?

We are based in Star, Idaho and work across the Treasure Valley — Boise, Meridian, Eagle and Star are our primary markets, and we also take work in Nampa, Caldwell, Kuna, Garden City, Middleton and Emmett. Each city has its own page describing the housing stock and the permit office we deal with there.

Do you only do showers?

Yes. Shower Remodel Idaho plans and builds shower spaces: replacing a failing shower, converting a tub alcove, building a walk-in or curbless shower, waterproofing the wet area and setting the tile. We do not take on whole-house remodels, so the crew sees the same details every week.

How do I get an estimate, and is the consultation free?

Call (208) 891-1890 or send the estimate form. We arrange an in-home walkthrough at no charge, measure the alcove, look at the drain, framing and any damage, and then send a written estimate. Nothing is quoted over the phone from a photo.

What is included in the written estimate, and what is excluded?

The estimate lists the scope room by room: demolition, substrate and framing corrections, the waterproofing system, tile and setting materials, the drain, glass and fixtures we are supplying, and the expected schedule. Exclusions are written down too — commonly hidden rot or failed framing found after demolition, moving plumbing walls, electrical work outside the scope, fixtures you supply yourself, and painting beyond the shower surround.

How much does a shower remodel cost in Idaho?

Shower pricing depends on the size of the wet area, the condition behind the tile and the materials you choose, so figures come after a walkthrough — never from a page like this one.

How long will my bathroom be out of use?

A single shower rebuild is usually a matter of days on site plus curing and waterproof-testing time, not weeks. Demolition and prep run first, waterproofing is installed and tested, then tile, grout and glass. Your estimate lists the schedule we expect for your room, and glass is often the item that sets the final date because panels are measured after tile.

Do shower remodels need a permit in Idaho?

A like-for-like shower replacement in the same footprint often does not, while moving plumbing, altering framing or changing the drain location generally does. We confirm with the building department that has jurisdiction over your address — Boise, Meridian, Eagle, Star, Ada County or Canyon County — and we pull the permit ourselves rather than asking you to do it.

Can I see examples of your work?

Yes. The projects section walks through completed shower builds by city and type, including what was found behind the old tile, how the wet area was waterproofed and how the layout was resolved. We can also show photos of in-progress waterproofing from recent jobs at your walkthrough.

Do you work on residential or commercial showers?

Residential showers are our focus: single-family homes, townhomes and condos across the Treasure Valley. We do take small commercial wet areas where the work is genuinely a shower build, but we are not a general commercial contractor.

What warranty comes with the work?

A 1-year craftsmanship warranty on the work we performed, handed to you in writing at completion. Manufacturer warranties on waterproofing systems, tile and fixtures are passed to you alongside it, and those are often far longer when the system is installed to specification.

Who chooses the tile, glass and fixtures?

You do, and we narrow the field first. We tell you what will work with your layout, slope, niche and hard water, give you a selections list with deadlines, and flag anything with a long lead time — clear glass and custom pans in particular — so a selection does not stall the schedule.

What happens if something changes mid-project?

Changes go in writing before the work happens. If demolition uncovers rot, a failed pan or framing that will not hold tile, we stop, photograph it, explain the options and issue a change order with the cost and the schedule impact. You approve it before we carry on.

Who actually does the work — employees or subcontractors?

The tile setting and waterproofing are done by our own crew, with the same lead running your project from demolition through glass. Licensed plumbers and electricians are brought in for their trades where the scope requires it, and you will know who is in your house each day.

How should I prepare for the crew?

Clear the bathroom and the path to it, move anything fragile from adjoining rooms, and let us know about pets, parking and access. We protect floors and doorways, set up dust containment at the bathroom door, and clean the work area down at the end of each day.
